The block is sturdy and actually looks great on my counter, not just hiding in a drawer. And after two weeks of daily chopping, the VG-10 steel still glides through tomatoes like they're butter.

I’ve had cheaper knife sets before, but the VG-10 steel in these holds an edge noticeably longer—I’m three weeks in and still haven’t needed to sharpen. The block fits neatly on my counter without taking up the whole space, and the Damascus pattern on each blade is genuinely gorgeous in person.

The countertop block keeps everything within arm’s reach while I cook, and the blades slide through tomatoes like they’re not even there. I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and the edge still feels razor-sharp straight from the block.
